To strengthen campus safety awareness and protect the personal and property safety of teachers and students, on the evening of March 6th, Officer Zhao Pulin from Songshan Police Station in Huaxi District was invited to deliver a lecture on campus safety education in the West Building Lecture Hall 117. Chen Xingshuai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mining, and Xie Yaqiu, head of the Student Affairs Section, attended the lecture, which was participated by over 200 faculty members and students from the school. The lecture was chaired by Chen Xingshuai.

Officer Zhao began by emphasizing the importance of campus safety. He pointed out that campus safety is directly related to the life safety and physical and mental health of every teacher and student, and it is of paramount importance in school management. Centering on the safety of personal property on campus, Officer Zhao covered topics such as traffic safety, fire safety, drowning prevention, maintaining physical and mental health, staying away from campus loans, and preventing telecommunications fraud. Following that, Officer Zhao used humorous and witty language to educate everyone about a recent traffic accident, underscoring the importance of civilized travel and obeying traffic rules. He also urged everyone to firmly establish a sense of safety, strengthen the learning and mastery of safety knowledge, and enhance their ability to prevent accidents.

During the meeting, Zhao Pulin asked the students questions about telecommunications fraud. In today's era where methods of telecommunications fraud are constantly being innovative, Officer Zhao specifically pointed out that contemporary college students need to continuously improve their awareness and ability to prevent telecommunications fraud. He urged them not to easily believe in unsolicited calls or trust illegal online institutions offering campus loans. Officer Zhao called on everyone to actively participate in the prevention of telecommunications fraud to protect their own vital interests and jointly create a harmonious and safe campus environment.

The successful holding of this campus safety themed lecture not only enhanced the safety awareness of teachers and students but also provided scientific guidance for campus safety management. It is believed that with the joint efforts of everyone, our campus will become safer and more beautiful.
