On May 30th, the School of Mining held a safety education conference in order to firmly establish the concept that safety comes first, enhance the sense of urgency and responsibility for safety education, maintain campus safety and security. The meeting was held in Room 305 of the Liye Building. Zhang Lin, the Party Secretary of the school, along with other dignitaries such as Zuo Yujun, Vice Deans Li Bobo and Wen Zhijie, attended the event. Undergraduate class advisors, graduate supervisors, and counselors participated in the meeting, which was chaired by Zhang Lin.

During the meeting, Zhang Lin pointed out that campus safety issues are becoming increasingly prominent and various safety risks and hidden dangers are emerging one after another. It is essential to fully recognize the importance and urgency of student safety education. All teachers should play an active role in safety management, make full use of themed class meetings, do a good job in promoting safety knowledge, strengthen daily student safety education work, and ensure that safety awareness is deeply rooted in everyone's mind. Especially with the arrival of summer, it is important to strengthen drowning prevention education and strictly adhere to the six prohibitions against drowning.

 Zhang Lin emphasized that all teachers must strictly implement the undergraduate tutor system and the graduate supervisor responsibility system, hold regular meetings, understand the students' learning, life, and other ideological trends, effectively implement the policies and guidelines for safety work, keep up the effort, maintain constant vigilance, continue to carry out various activities in a thorough, organized manner, constantly improve and consolidate relevant safety systems, strive to create a safe campus, and provide a safe and healthy educational environment for teachers and students; Class advisors and mentors of graduating classes should work together to urge students to secure employment and do a good job in our institute's employment efforts. Class advisors of juniors should prepare well for the Extensive Learning Plan, step up publicity and education, and encourage students to actively prepare for postgraduate entrance exams. It is hoped that all teachers will work together with a sense of responsibility that never eases off, striving to do a good job in student safety education, conscription, and employment at the college, and achieve new, splendid, and effective results in the development of our institute through practical actions and tangible results.
